North Wales Magazine is a monthly publication that celebrates all that’s great about beautiful North Wales. In their November 2018 issue, the magazine launched its first photography competition to sum up its autumn landscapes. One of the winning photographs is a misty waterfall, which I captured during my road trip in Snowdonia National Park. Snowdonia National Park is situated in northwest Wales. The national park harbors vast landscapes, including mountains, glacial landforms and waterfalls.

Why I Love This Photo

What particularly strikes me is about this photo is that such a simple occurrence in nature can carry so much magic and awe. The autumn colors and bare branches give this photograph a mythical aura. The misty water transports into an spellbinding world and sparks out imagination.

Why I Like Taking Photos in Wales

I am fascinated by the diversity of landscapes that North Wales has to offer. From breathtaking coastlines, to beautiful mountains, waterfalls, lakes, and valleys – the opportunities to explore, adventure and dream are endless for a photographer.
