Hi, I'm Lana...

A National Geographic Explorer and award-winning nature photographer. With over a decade of field experience, I focus on creating powerful images of animals in their natural environments. With a background in biology, my work is grounded in an understanding of animal behavior and ecology.

My photography has been published internationally, including features and a cover story in National Geographic Germany, as well as in Terra Mater, BBC Science Focus, Oceanographic Magazine, Wildlife Photographic, and Sony Alpha Universe. As a member of the International League of Conservation Photographers, I combine visual storytelling with an ethical and responsible approach.

Workshop Itinerary

Day 1: Friday, April 24th, 2026

On the first day, we begin with an interactive online theory session where we explore the fundamentals of wildlife photography together. We take time to dive deep into camera settings such as shutter speed, aperture, ISO and white balance, everything you need to capture your animal subjects perfectly. We also cover optimal focusing techniques, choosing the right lens and crafting compelling compositions to capture animals with expression and emotion.

Day 2: Saturday, April 25th, 2026

The practical part takes place at Wildpark Poing, where we put theory into practice and immerse ourselves in nature. You will learn how to work with telephoto lenses, find the best perspectives and capture special moments deliberately. Together we will analyze lighting conditions, experiment with different exposure settings and develop creative photo ideas. Throughout the session, you will receive personalized tips, review your photos on site with fellow participants and benefit from everyone’s shared experiences.
